CPP TV
The Conventions People’s Party (CPP) is a broad based People’s Political Party not based on any tradition or ethnicity.
History recalls that during the independence struggle for Ghana in the 50’s, it was the People of Ghana which includes farmers, drivers, fishermen, market women, member of the security services, professionals, students and people from all works of life who organize the boycott of all foreign goods which affected the then British Government severely that led to incubation of the Indepandence.
As a result of the boycott, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, was released from detention and was allowed to stand as the first President of Ghana on CPP’s ticket, he won a landslide victory which gave him a the power to claim independence from the den British Government. Surely it was the Peoples Power.
CPP cuts across people of all works of life. It is a convention of people form all Backgrounds .
After CPP came into power the lifestyle of the People got improved, Example farmers had their share by the setting of Cocoa Board, Farmers Council, Workers Brigade, Agro processing factories etc. We further went to develop all sectors of the economy, roads , railways , gold mining, diamond winning ,Health sector, Education etc.
Ever since the CPP was over thrown in 1966 in a coup de tat, by the National Liberation Council head by Gen. A. Afrifa and Kotoka who later handed over power to Dr. K.A. Busia, of Dankwa-Busia Tradition which was purely based on ethnicity, the country Ghana has gone backward. It’s People have suffered and Ghana our beloved country had not seen any Major development but the sale of all it properties, while a few enrich themselves -calling it “property owing democracy”.
Today, parents cannot afford three square meals for their children let alone pay Secondary School or University fees. Ghana produces a lot of Cocoa but some children have never tasted Chocolate, Yet Dr. Nkrumah and CPP in their wisdom set Cocoa Processing Factories to feed the children of Ghana with protein. Medical Personnel Have gone strike Government after Government ,year after year.
Unemployment is a time bomb ready to explode if CPP don’t intervene.
Convention People’s Party, is therefore calling on all People of Ghana to once more remember the good deeds and what CPP will do with their contribution to raise the standard of living of Ghanaians.
More and More People are Joining CPP,
Why dont you face rality and Join too.
